A Sleigh-load of Surprises

This Christmas Season will be full of surprises at the Red Rock Beer Store.

First, if you’re a fan of Red Rock Brewery’s barrel-aged beers, we’ve got good news. We’ve stashed a fair number of our most coveted beers for a new game we call “The Twelve Days of Christmas at the Beer Store”.

Every time you visit the Red Rock Beer Store between now and December 24th, you will be given a uniquely numbered “12-Days of Christmas Card”. Then starting on December 13th, we will be randomly picking numbers and matching them with one of the “sold-out” beer styles displayed in this photo.

The winning numbers will be posted on the Red Rock Beer Store Facebook page at 11:30AM daily. If your number is selected, you will be given 24-hours to decide if you would like to reserve your allocated bottle for purchase. If you do not claim your reserved bottle, the beer will roll forward to the next day’s contest.

We expect to draw about 5-10 winning numbers daily, starting on Tuesday the 13th.

You can pick-up one card (entry) per-person, per day. Each winning number will be matched with (1) 750mL bottle or (2) 500mL bottles. Beer styles will be assigned randomly to each winning number. Take it or leave it…you have no obligation to purchase and we will gladly keep your winning number in the game if you are assigned a style that doesn’t interest you.

Second, just by coming into the Beer Store, you’ll have a random chance of winning free Red Rock merchandise throughout the day. We’ll be giving away glasses, shirts, bottle openers, etc. There’s no purchase necessary to win.

The game starts now! Cheers!

Christmas on Halloween Griswald Release Party 2012

Griswald’s Holiday Ale is here!  We gathered at our Fashion Place location to celebrate with Griswald infused appetizers by head chef Joel Smith, T-shirt trivia give aways, Chevy Chase on the big screen and Griswald samples for everyone.

Head brewer Kevin Templin shared the details of brewing this delicious blend of cinnamon, coriander, ginger, orange peel and cloves.  This flavor filled, super-smooth seasonal brew will warm up your long winter nights.

The Spirit of Memorial Day

Another Memorial Day is upon us, and it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day in the valley. Memorial Day is one of the largest barbecue days of the year, and tends to mark the beginning of summer. But it’s important to take a moment to reflect on what it means – to the country, to the military, and to the veterans.

The tradition was started after the Civil War to commemorate the Union soldiers who lost their lives, but by the 20th century it was extended to all of those who lost their lives in service for the country. Traditionally, relatives and friends of deceased soldiers would gather at graveyards and have religious services and picnics, which may be where the present tradition of barbecuing with family and friends began. Ultimately, Memorial Day offers an opportunity to take the time to remember the soldiers who gave their lives for our country. Especially in our busy, hectic world, it is important to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by current and past soliders who often go unthanked. And it is a time to celebrate their lives and their gift to us.

So however you celebrate Memorial Day, go forth and enjoy your parties, your barbecues, and your time with your family and friends. Enjoy some grilled food and some chilled brews, and enjoy the day off work. Because this is a tradition that connects us to the history of this country for over a hundred years – all the way back to those potluck picnics at graveyards in remembrance of our lost loved ones.
